Capsules are carefully handpicked before they ripen to avoid the split. They are sundried and stored in an airtight container to retain the aroma. Inside the dried capsule, there are seeds, which are used as a spice for flavoring various preparations of food, confectionery, beverages and liquors. Hence, Cardamom invariably finds a place in the spice chest of many kitchens.
